Grafikens Hus is located in Mariefred, 70 kilometers southwest of Stockholm. It is one of the leading contemporary graphic arts institutions of Scandinavia. Since it’s opening in 1996 Grafikens Hus has become widely recognized for it’s exhibitions of Swedish and international artists as well as for it’s fine art printmaking workshop, including seminars, courses and artist-in-residence programs.

Housed in the Gripsholm Castle’s beautifully renovated old barn at the edge of charming Mariefred village, Grafikens Hus offers views of the Gripsholm Castle, Lake Mälaren and picturesque surroundings. Grafikens Hus was inaugurated by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf in 1996 and hosts an annual exhibition of selected works from the Royal print collection.

Visitors of all ages can come together to enjoy this historic, welcoming, and creative setting. Grafikens Hus offers an unique opportunity to host meetings, events, guided art tours and other activities, as well as offering delectable meals served in the Grafikens Hus bistro, ”Broccoli” with it’s choice menu based on local and seasonal produce.

Grafikens Hus exhibits and sells contemporary fine art prints by Swedish and international artists. Most of the works being shown in the Grafikens Hus large summer exhibition CONCEPTS, CHEMISTRY & COPPER - Etchings from Crown Point Press, San Francisco are available for purchase at Grafikens Hus.

The new Jockum Nordström etchings are sold exclusively in Sweden by Grafikens Hus, and sold exclusively in the United States by Crown Point Press.
